Source

Create and edit booking sources, including price override, direct-connect, and owned-channel flags.

Entry: Console → CRSSettingsSource.

Prerequisites

Source is the booking channel — “where the reservation came from.” Different sources help track and analyze channel performance.

Use cases:

  • Revenue strategy: When creating a rate plan, link sources for channel-differentiated pricing.
  • Reservation tracking: Reservation details show the source for front desk and ops.
  • Revenue reports: Export by source to compare volume and revenue.

Field notes:

  1. Price override: Allow the OTA’s actual selling price to override the system standard rate. OTAs such as Ctrip often run flash sales and member discounts with dynamic prices; when enabled, the reservation uses the selling price at booking time.
  2. Direct-connect channel: Marks channels connected through Derby with no special business logic.
  3. Owned channel: Marks hotel-operated channels (website, mini program, App, etc.). When enabled, guests can self-cancel reservations from this source on Stey’s website and Guest App.
