Guarantee policy
Configure prepayment, third-party guarantee, no prepay/no guarantee, and personal credit card guarantee for bookings.
Entry: Console → CRS → Settings → Guarantee Policy.
Prerequisites
Guarantee policies define payment or guarantee requirements at booking so hotels can manage booking risk. The system supports four types.
Policy types:
- Prepayment: Guests pay part or all of the room charge when booking.
- Third-party guarantee: A third party guarantees the booking.
- No prepay, no guarantee: No advance payment or guarantee; room held until 18:00.
- Personal credit card guarantee: Personal card as guarantee without immediate charge (not available initially).
Use cases:
- Rate plan link: Attach different policies to different rate plans.
- Internal: Shown on reservation details and related reports.
- Booking flow: On owned channels, the policy decides whether guests must prepay.
