STL CookbookRoom attributes
Maintain zone, CRS room type, size, floor, orientation, and space tags for rooms.
Entry: Console → CRS → Room Attributes.
At go-live, the Digital team imports room attributes; use this page for later adjustments.
Prerequisites
Room attributes hold the basic profile of each hotel room. Accurate data improves guest room choice, assignment efficiency, and preference matching.
Use cases:
- Long-stay room picker: Conditional, visual room selection for operations.
- Hotel reservation room hold: Pre-lock rooms by attributes (for example high floor, quiet).
- Auto assignment: Inputs for system room assignment.
- Housekeeping zones: Split cleaning tasks by zone.

Configure CRS Room Type first in Room types.
Steps
Edit a single room
In the list, open More Options on the room → Edit.
Update fields in the dialog, then Confirm.
Batch edit rooms
Select multiple rooms; Batch Edit appears at the top right.
Click Batch Edit and update shared attributes in the dialog.
Click Confirm.
This page does not add or delete rooms — contact the Digital team for that.
If a selected room is already assigned to a reservation, CRS Room Type cannot change; other attributes still can. To change room type, wait for checkout (in-house) or cancel room assignment first (not yet checked in).
Manage space tags
Click Tag Management at the top right.
Add tag: Enter the name and click Add.
Delete tag: Click the delete icon next to the tag.
You can delete a tag only when no room uses it.
Result
- Updated attributes show on the room list.
- Tags appear in tag management for assignment to rooms.
