Edit group chat

Change group chat name or roles in Console group chat management; members update automatically when roles change.

Prerequisites

None

Go to Support Center → Group chat management.

Find the group chat to edit, click the more options menu (three dots), and select Edit group chat.

In the dialog, change the Group chat name or adjust Roles.

Click Confirm.

The edit group chat dialog lets you change the name and roles; the primary button is Confirm.

If you add roles: all users under those roles are added to the group chat automatically.
If you remove roles: users under those roles are removed from the group chat automatically.

Users removed from a group chat can still see the group chat entry in Console, but only to view history—they cannot send or receive new messages.

Group chat name or role changes take effect immediately; adding or removing roles automatically adds or removes the corresponding users.
