STL CookbookTransfer Deposit
Transfer deposit balance from a previous contract to the renewal contract's deposit bill on the same reservation.
Prerequisites
On the same reservation, deposit balance from a previous contract can be transferred to the renewal contract's deposit bill. Both must be true:
- Transactions → Deposit folio balance is less than 0 (deposit balance exists).
- The renewal contract's deposit bill is not yet settled.
We recommend keeping the renewal deposit amount the same as the previous contract for easier transfer.
Steps
On the renewal contract's deposit bill detail page, click Transfer Deposit Balance.
The system auto-fills the transfer amount. Confirm and click Confirm.
The transfer deposit balance dialog shows the auto-filled amount. Primary button is Confirm.
Result
- After transfer, a deposit transfer record is created on the bill detail page and the bill status updates to Paid.
- Two transactions are created on the deposit folio: one transfer out, one transfer in.
- When the original deposit bill balance is fully transferred out, it is automatically marked Deposit Refunded.
Guests see the deposit refunded mark on the original deposit bill in Guest App as well.
