Common area permission configuration (coming soon)
Configure default common-area access for guests and staff, and manage custom permission groups for non-guests.
Entry: Console → IoT → Permission configuration.
The Access Config page provides two core configuration areas:
- System default access configuration: Configure common areas and corridor access—outside guest rooms and guest-room floors—to grant uniformly to guests and staff.
- Custom permission groups: Create user-friendly permission bundles for granting common-area access to non-guests (e.g. gym members, external visitors).
Prerequisites
- This page is visible only to employees with the admin role.
- The property CM must confirm:
- Which corridors and common areas have access control;
- Which corridors and common areas should be open to all guests;
- Which corridors and common areas may be open to non-guests.
- After confirmation, the Digital team completes resource and permission setup.
Steps
Common area permissions (system default access configuration)
Scope of impact:
- When granting access to guests, the additional floors or common areas granted beyond the guest room and guest-room floor access;
- When granting property access to staff, the access scope granted uniformly.
- Select the required spaces from the dropdown (multi-select, optional).
- The list shows only spaces of type access control.
Add a permission group
Click the custom permission entry in the top-right corner.
In the dialog, enter the permission group name and select the spaces to include (the list shows only spaces of type access control).
Click Confirm.
The add dialog requires a name and multi-select spaces; the primary button is Confirm.
Edit or delete a permission group
- Edit: Click More on the right of the target permission group and select Edit; all fields can be changed.
- Delete: Click More on the right of the target permission group and select Delete; confirm to delete.
